Dunwoody North 400 Village Mill 393
Village Mill played host to Dunwoody North last night in a very exciting meet. It was close all night - two teams separated by a handful of points all night. In the end Dunwoody North goes to 2-0 and Village Mill drops to 1-1. Two close meets in 2014 for VM. Next week is a big match-up between Village Mill and undefeated Kingsley. Dunwoody North travels to Huntcliff to swim and see the river. Look for Dunwoody North to go to 3-0.

Brookwood Hills 471 Vermack 316
Dunwoody's #1 ranked team had their swim caps pulled over their eyes by Brookwood Hills Tuesday night. Vermack not used to losing by 150+, but Brookwood Hills' is a machine and Vermack has smaller numbers than years past. Vermack drops to 1-1 as expected, but look for them to rebound next week. The only good thing about Brookwood Hills meets is they have eight lanes (but no parking). Vermack used to have a team of close to 175 swimmers but has trimmed to 100 or so. This is a trend seen at some other local pools. Win or lose, the kids still get doughnuts. Hey Vermack, we still need that photo of DJV2.

Zaban Sharks 251 Deerbrooke Waters 224
Zaban Sharks take care of business, winning a tight meet. Zaban's next chance of a win is next week at Redfield. Lots on the line for Redfield as most teams prefer to get at least one win on the season. But as long as the kids are having fun and getting some exercise, it's all good.
Kingsley 424 Fontainebleau 330
Kingsley goes to 2-0 and is on a 7-meet win streak (5-0 last season). Kingsley swimmers challenging Vermack for that #1 ranking. Next week Kingsley faces Village Mill and we predict VM in the upset, winning by 20. Things get no easier next week as Vermack jumps in the water with the Font. The good thing about Font versus Vermack as it gives us a little bit of info comparing Kingsley to Vermack as they will have faced a common opponent, something our Rankings takes under consideration. Kingsley swimmers setting records weekly - must be something in the lake water. Congrats to Alex, Chritopher, Sydeny, Samantha, Journey, Ansley and others on new records.
Garden Hills 437 Georgetown 357
Georgetown, as mentioned previously, has a very tough schedule this year based on their 5-0 run last season. G-Town drops to 0-2 on the season. Georgetown faces The Branches next week and needs to win if they want to be over .500 this season. G-town could be facing a 1-4 season with a loss next week.
Huntcliff 432 Deerfield SL 330
Deerfield Spalding Lake has a couple more meets this season they can win. Zaban and Wynterhall are DSL's final opponents this season.
Hanover West 480 Mill Glen 300
Just like Georgetown and Vermack, Mill Glen faced a big-time team this week and the score shows it. Mill Glen has another tough one next week but is looking ahead to a meet against Village Mill. A win against an equal sized opponent such as Village Mill can salvage a long season for MG.
Wynterhall 426 Redfield 354
Not since Redfield Hall of Fame swimmer PeterH was in Pre-K has Wynterhall defeated Redfield, but the streets of Wynterhall hosted a victory block party until 4 AM last night following Wynterhall's victory over the Sun Devils. "We received numerous noise complaints and found two burning couches after the swim meet," commented a local police officer. Next week Redfield hosts Zaban. Wynterhall is 2-0 and visits Deerbrooke Waters next week. Look for W-Hall to be 3-0 this time next week and will most likely be 4-1 or perhaps 5-0 on the season. Go Wynterhall Warriors! On a side note, AL-TD owes me lunch at Village Burger, home to Dunwoody's freshest and tastiest hamburgers (or grab their chicken samich)
Week 2 Rankings

Dunwoody North #2 (last week unranked)

This week's swim report brought to you by Village Burger. Stop by and join neighbors every Tuesday night after the meet. Parents and kids welcome, as always.
On a side note, the Austin Mahone concert after the Braves game was awesome....if you are a 13 year old girl. The Braves lost to the Mariners.
