Today was the Dunwoody Nature Center Butterfly Festival. The event was a huge success. Traffic was backed up both ways on Roberts worse than the good ole days of the 2nd grade circus.
Don't confuse today's event with Monarchs and Butterflies - that's a trendy night out for the adult movers and shakers in our community. Today's event was for the children (and I suppose the butterflies). Lots and lots of kids. I've never seen more people at the Dunwoody Nature Center but I'm not there for all the events. I'll await official comment from DNC staff before making a claim of "biggest crowd ever".
Give credit to the DNC staff and volunteers. Lots of community people giving up their Saturday.
Here's an OLD post on butterflies. See if you can find the famous Dunwoody residents in one of the photos?
