MARLOW’S TAVERN MAKES ITS DUNWOODY DEBUT ON JULY 31
Well-Known Neighborhood Tavern Opens Ninth Location This Summer
ATLANTA (May 14, 2012) –Sterling Hospitality is set to open the company’s ninth location of Marlow’s Tavern on Tuesday, July 31, in Dunwoody. The popular neighborhood tavern, known for its gourmet tavern fare and fun atmosphere, will soon serve the Northeast Atlanta suburb with a great place to enjoy a memorable meal or creative cocktail at 1319 Dunwoody Village Parkway.
“We are thrilled to open our next location in the thriving city of Dunwoody,” says Executive Chef and Co-founder John C. Metz Jr. “The great neighborhood and flourishing business community are the perfect match for Marlow’s “hospitality first” mentality and fresh-ingredient-focused cuisine and cocktails,” he adds.
The Marlow’s Tavern menu, created by Metz, includes the following convenient components: Start, Snack, Share; Crisp, Cool Salads; Tavern Favorites; Classic Tavern Burgers; Big Bar Sandwiches; Kid’s Fun Foods; and Sweet Stuff. The savory selection is filled with plentiful plates that change seasonally depending on the availability of fresh and local ingredients. From newly added items like the grilled turkey meatloaf and Ahi tuna poke to Marlow’s classic offerings such as the shrimp and crab nacho plate and the grilled chicken panini (made with Prestige Farms chicken), the neighborhood tavern gives guests delicious menu options with an upscale twist.
Marlow’s beverage menu includes a wide variety of wines from around the world, handcrafted cocktails and a simple, but varied list of beers. The restaurant’s well-rounded wine list includes American and international red and white selections available by the bottle or glass at various price points. The inventive cocktail list consists of several handcrafted concoctions made with the freshest fruit juices, herbs, simple syrups and small batch liquors. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of bottled beers including local favorites such as Sweetwater 420 and Terrapin Rye Pale Ale.
Marlow’s Tavern evokes a sense of community not only through its partnerships with non-profit organizations like Special Olympics Georgia and the Atlanta Community Food Bank, but by providing a convivial restaurant for all area residents to enjoy. The new Marlow’s Tavern seats up to 130 and was specifically designed with guests’ comfort in mind. The tavern’s warm and inviting interior features exposed brick walls, dark wood accents, large leather booths, communal tables and an extensive fully covered patio.
Marlow’s Tavern has an incredible team of restaurant talent behind its concept. John Metz earned his degree at the Culinary Institute of America and began his long-standing career at some of the finest restaurants in New York such as The 21 Club, Tribeca Grill and Montrachet.
