Paving in Dunwoody Next Week

The city has pushed back the start time for paving in front of Austin.  I'd say 'continue as planned' and get it out of the way.  Traffic is always brutal the first few days of school so may as well get the road resurfaced at that time.  People coming off GA 400 from Roswell and Alpharetta headed to the Perimeter area will need to use an alternate route for ever a week or two.

Time to throw down some fresh asphalt here in Dunwoody.  The paving starts tomorrow on Roberts (from just past Publix, past Austin, up to the city limit near the Sandy Springs fire station).

DeKalb's first day of school is on Monday, so expect major traffic delays around schools.  Austin is full of 'walkers', especially now that it is again a K-5 school, so drivers need to stay off the mobile phone and stay alert.  Roberts always backs up for school traffic, and the road resurfacing will add to that delay.
